Designing & Installing Music Studio Comfort systems

Designing and installing Comfort systems for Recording Studios is much different than the ones we install in homes.  There are more things to consider besides the temperature at a comfortable setting. One is to make sure that no sound is transmitted from the heating and cooling system to the inside of the studio.  The microphones today are super sensitive to sound and can hear things that are not audible to the human ear.

Not only is the design of the studio walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, and studio equipment important, but also the design of the ductwork system.  This is what delivers the air from the system to the space. One must also consider the equipment, blower speed, thermostats and registers used in the space.

Studios also generate a lot of heat not only from the studio equipment, but sometimes you may have 8 or 10 people in a small space.  It’s important to keep a lot of air flow moving through the space and sometimes this also means increasing the size of the system.

There is a lot that goes into designing Recording Studios.  Here at DHC Comfort, we take pride in the work we do and work closely during the construction process with architects, engineers, and the building contractor to make sure you have a quality product you will enjoy. So whether you are one of Nashville’s biggest stars or one of our neighbors, we would love to help you with your project.  Just give Jerry a call for a free quote today or click the "Get Quote" button below!
